Designed by Fulvio Rigoni with authenticity and distinctness, Spring / Summer 2018 collection empowers the versatile styles, personalities and beauty of women. Salvatore Ferragamo makes contributions to women defining their grace and charm by getting inspired by the uniqueness of legendary women, who are wearing his shoes such as Greta Garbo, Carmen Miranda, Brigitte Bardot, Eva Peron and Marilyn Monroe.

Fulvio Rigoni, Design Director of Salvatore Ferragamo’s Women’s Collections, has said

I wanted to celebrate the individuality, style and bright colours of women with the improving woman profile.

Ferragamo Spring-Summer 18 Collection offers independent pieces with various silhouettes, fabrics, prints and perspectives. Covering a wide period of time, each piece offers a different story with fringes and tassels of 30s, fluffy skirts of 50s and bell-bottoms of 70s. Modern touches that preserve the superior craftsmanship and always feminin style of Ferragamo are standing out within the collection.

Small leather bags with metal bracelet looking handles and rich looking belt bags with geometric patterns are among the top pieces of this season. Ferragamo’s signature “Flower” and cage detailed high-heel stretch boots and sandals have taken their places in shoe collection.  Each woman is introduced with a respectful collection that cristalizes their personality.

As Ferragamo colour pallette is filled with pastel and white shaded pink, emerald green and bright red notes, fabric textures are also making a strong impression.  As bell-bottomed pants and cotton fabrics are mixed together with micro suede fabrics with holes, combination of hand embroidered python and semi-transparent fabrics are giving strength to the extraordinary designs of Ferragamo.

Inspired by the vision of women and beauty of one of the most important artists of the Renaissance period, Botticelli,  Ferragamo Spring / Summer 2018 runway show holds a mirror up to the season’s spirit. Renaissance master’s affect is brought to attention with the exclusive light show that Ingo Maurer creates. In addition, the effects resembling the triangle shape of the new women’s fragrance Amo Ferragamo are presented inter-connectedly with the show.
